Hi,will be in wichita for 3 nights,whats the best area to stay in for bars and nightclubs within wlking distance? Is there any areas to avoid?

The “Old Town” warehouse district in downtown Wichita has the most concentrated area of bars and nightclubs. There are really no problem areas per se.

Thanks for the info.I would also like to go to a wichita wranglers baseball game is the stadium within walking distance of the old town?

The stadium is approximately one mile from Old Town. Probably about a 20 minute walk. The Old Town area would be your best bet for an area to stay in.

If the schedule for your visit is flexible, the best time and weather would be during the River Festival, May 6th to May 14th. The 1812 Overture concert with military cannons and fireworks over the river on the 14th is the big event of the year around here.
